“Success is determined by the number of times you get up after being dejected.” Model, Writer, Philanthropist and Public Speaker Felicia Verna (Ver-nah) is defying odds and establishing her own lane of what is defined as “Success”. At the young age of 4 her mother exposed her to performing arts programs and she quickly took center stage competing in various genres of the arts throughout the United States such as Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Praise Dance, African Dance, Step, Military Drill and Choir all the way through way high school.
While studying Criminal Justice at Virginia State University she took on several titles and leadership roles. Felicia was afforded her first modeling opportunity when she was chosen to participate in VSU’s Next Top Model Competition, which by fate would have it she went on to be the reigning champion. Subsequently, while watching an episode of America’s Next Top Model she was re-inspired and finally ready to pursue modeling, this time with nothing holding her back she has used it as a stepping stone to increases higher altitudes
After matriculating with a bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice she has since then gone on to collaborate with VH1 Mob Wives, Cover Girl, NBC , The NFL, Vibe Magazine, national hair campaigns, fashion designers, entertainers, philanthropic organizations and more which can be found on her culture blog EllureZion.com. Her writings, interviews and documentaries include Enlightening, Uplifting and Motivational material for Fashion, Life Style and Entertainment.
Understanding the importance of giving back, she partakes in monthly community service programs and events. She specifically takes pride in her non-profit agency founded in 2009, Assertively Promoting Philanthropic Services, Inc. which provides social services, extracurricular programs and events for inner-city residents of New Jersey.
